Be Calm on Ahway Island Bedtime Stories

A New Toy Excerpt:





It was a chilly afternoon on Ahway Island. The ground was blanketed in fresh white snow that looked like someone had covered the whole island in powdered sugar. The bare branches on the trees were coated in icicles that sparkled brilliantly in the afternoon sunlight. Alyssa Doll sat, cozy in her toybox, occasionally peeking out to watch the snow fall outside the window. Alyssa loved it when it snowed.

 

When it snowed, Alyssa’s human friend, C.J., liked to dress up Alyssa in her favorite pink jacket and brown boots so they could play outside together. Then, C.J. would take Alyssa back inside and they would enjoy a nice warm cup of cocoa together – real cocoa for C.J., and pretend cocoa for Alyssa, of course.

 

But today’s snowy day was a little different. Alyssa and the other toys remained in the toy box because C.J. had gone away in the morning. Alyssa waited patiently in the toy box, wondering about all the things that she and the other toys would get to do when C.J. returned home.
