episode 23: Ian Martin and Raise Recruiting

Welcome to the LIVEforward Institute Living Room Conversations!

We have seen the catalytic power of conversations in the work that we do, as well as the impact that it brings to our world.

Our Living Room is a space for us to connect, to explore thoughts and learnings, in a relaxed and very human way. Through this channel, we look forward to an engaging dialogue and resonance with our guests, and bring a breath of fresh air to the space we occupy in this virtual world.

To our listeners and followers, we hope to create an opportunity to candidly eavesdrop and chime in to one of the many interesting conversations around the space of teal, agile and the future of work.

Our guests, Luz and Edwin from Ian Martin Group.

Luz, pronounced LOOTH, wears three hats at the Ian Martin Group: recruiting coordination, change management and organizational design, including leading the way on the development and implementation of our Teal OS, and building new businesses. Luz and her many animals live on a 100 acre farm in rural Ontario, whose wild and human systems serve as the constant inspiration for work as an ecosystem.

Edwin, Head of Corporate Development, plays the entrepreneurial futurist role by creating new solutions that reduce barriers to employment and better connect people with meaningful work. Edwin also helped to develop Ian Martin’s self-managing "Teal OS”, an organizational operating system that empowers every employee to do their best work without any hierarchy. Edwin’s passion is to help build a world where most people love their work, and that’s what he believes will happen if more organizations adopt self-management practices.

Stay tuned for our next Living Room Conversations.
