In today's show, you will meet Mary, mom of two autistic children and a certified mental health coach. Going through the endless rabbit hole of what to do, and what is best for her family was overwhelming. Through training, trial and error, and recourses she became empowered. Her daughter has self-esteem, sensory issues, and anxiety about self-confidence and not being afraid to tell someone when she is not comfortable and has the tools to self-regulate. Her son was nonverbal and had severe aggression issues. Now he talks in sentences expresses himself and answers questions verbally. His meltdowns are almost eliminated and self-regulating himself and doing well in school with a nonacademic IEP.
