Today’s episode describes the events that led to the murders of more than 25,000 Tutsis at Kibeho Catholic Church in Nyaruguru. Those who had taken refuge at the Church and the buildings of the Kibeho Parish managed to ward off the killers for two days but reinforcements from gendarmes and Interahamwe from neighbouring sectors made the fight impossible. The episode describes the killings in different parts of the country and tells the story of betrayal at the hands of the Church and other leaders.
