The first Rathole Radio of 2011 and it went with a bang. Sadly I couldn’t do a live song after a 2hr gig with 20lb Sounds the night before. My voice was like a Shetland pony… a little horse, get it? Ok I’ll get my coat. I played my usual eclectic selection of music and had a good chat with everyone on IRC. I hope you enjoy the show.

• 20:25 – Rattlin’ Bone – 16 Tons – License Unknown – A great London band with real soul. Heard this on AMPed and loved it. It’s a classic tune but this version rocks.

It’s Rathole time again and I’ve got something slightly different for you this episode. I was joined by our first returning guest, <strong>Jono Bacon</strong> of <a href=”http://ubuntu.com” target=”_blank”><strong>Ubuntu</strong></a> and <a href=”http://severedfifth.com” target=”_blank”><strong>Severed Fifth</strong></a> fame. He’s just released the second album which I actually mastered so you’ll have to forgive the love in. I think this album is a big advance on the previous offering though and I’m keen to know how living in California has affected things. We discuss his new live band and many other things, as well as playing some tracks. There’s also a live acoustic track from myself, some nerdcore, some dub, some electro and more. So if you’re not a metal fan don’t worry, there’s plenty of variety as always.
