He's based in Silicon Valley and invests in very early-stage startups. Previously, he was an active angel investor and before that an investor at 500 FinTech. He is also the co-founder of NerdWallet, which is one of the earliest fintech startups. He served there as COO from 2010 to 2014. The personal finance company went public in 2021.
