617: Caring Cardinal: a relaxing story for children

It was a damp day on Ahway Island. Little raindrops slid down the big green leaves of the pretty trees. The little drops landed on some red and yellow flowers. Carrie Cardinal hopped around on the forest floor, collecting the red and yellow flowers for her nest.
Carrie loved collecting flowers for her nest inside the big oak tree. Carrie loved the red flowers the most because they matched her pretty feathers.
Carrie lived in the big oak tree near Chelsea and Abby Chipmunk. They were very good neighbors. But they liked to stay inside during rainy days.
Carrie brought the red and yellow flowers to her nest, gently placing them around the sides. She patted the flowers down with her feet, making sure she was gentle enough to not break her new decorations.
