• Sports podcaster Blue Wire has raised $2.5m and says it'll be profitable next year. It has so far raised $11.4m. Its podcasts should get 124m downloads this year, says company founder Kevin Jones.
• Acast has announced a new series of articles, Behind The Podcast, which will "share stories from the diverse mix of people and roles working within podcasting". It focuses on Karla Patella, sound designer of Sweet Bobby.
• Global ad revenue is dropping, says WARC, highlighting concern about a global recession.
