Humans in Love ft. Zachary Stockill

Humans in Love is a podcast for curious people--a venue for wide-ranging conversations about culture, relationships, and personal development featuring unconventional perspectives. Featuring interviews with authors, musicians, coaches, psychologists, and a wide range of others, think of it as “self-improvement” that doesn’t take itself too seriously. One week we might be talking about sex, relationships, and travel, the next we might be unpacking a bestselling author’s creative process. No subject is off limits on Humans in Love, as host and guests share revealing personal stories and explore the unique challenges associated with becoming a better human in the 21st century. The three essential prerequisites for guests and listeners alike are lust for life, a sense of humour, and an open mind. Humans in Love is hosted by author and coach Zachary Stockill, whose work on culture and personal development has been featured on BBC News, BBC Radio 4, the Huffington Post, The Art of Charm, and many other podcasts and publications...

#48 – Sex, Masculinity, and God with Cadell Last, Ph.D.

Cadell Last is an author and YouTuber with a focus on philosophy and anthropology.

Cadell Last and I first met around 10 years ago when we were students in History at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada. I was in graduate school, and Cadell was an undergrad taking a graduate level course–and he was still one of the smartest, most eloquent students in the room.

His new book is called Sex, Masculinity, God, featuring “new ideas about the nature of sexuality, the evolutionary role of masculine form, and the meaning of the transcendental.”

In today’s episode of Humans in Love, Cadell and I talk about the perils of ideology, the current corona-madness, uncertainty, the crisis of modern masculinity, the problem with academics, sexual jealousy, and more.

Really enjoyed this one. Hope you do, too.
