Interview with Bogdan Manta, Neuroscience for Business Expert
My second English Speaking podcast guest ever is Bogdan Manta. Bogdan is a Neuroscience for Business Expert and we were both speakers at an international conference in May. I was inspired by Bogdan’s session on „Psychological Safety“ and decided to invite him to the podcast. He is the founder of The Essential Experts and Inward Learning, both based in Amsterdam and both focused and enhancing Employee Engagement. So there is clear match with what I am about.
We explore why engagement levels are flat over time, what can be done to boost them and then focus on what role psychological safety plays in this context.
I was curious to find out more about the "hip term" psychological safety from Bogdan and particularly to get his neuroscience angle on it.
My favorite quote of his is "We are not thinking machines that feel. We are feeling machines that think" which explains why emotional intelligence is perhaps the primary competence leaders need to develop and grow if they aim to create psychological safety and boost engagement.
