Letting Go of the Struggle: Ania Lichota

When I first met Ania, she had just returned from the Marathon des Sables, described as "the toughest footrace on earth." She's climbed the Seven Summits--the highest mountains on each of seven continents. Her book Why the Hell Bother? How Climbing the Seven Summits Changed My Life describes how she used the experience of being pushed to her mental and physical limits to gain deep self-awareness and emotional strength. She uses these insights, and her experiences as a senior executive at firms across the globe, to help people step outside their comfort zone, understand and shift the thoughts and behaviors that limit their performance, and achieve their full potential. She'll talk about her perspectives on resilience and individual growth, and the importance of accepting things as they are rather than engaging in a psychological struggle.
