Temperatures are dropping all over the Northen Hemisphere, but here in The Non-Prophets studio things are heating up! That is because this week’s special guest is Phil the Caribbean Skeptic. He is joined by August, and first time conductor (as far as you know) R Kelley Laughlin. So break out the rum (responsibly) and get ready for an amazing episode! Let’s get into it!

First up, on the Internet Apologist are saying some shit yet again. Seems a pastor in Atlanta wants to teach how you should pray. Now what would you pay for this 4 week intensive course? $10,000? $100,000? A cool $Million!? Well good news you only need to pay $1500! That’s a steal considering it used to be up to $2000! Seriously, can you put a price tag on your immortal soul? Pastor Juantia Bynum dares to say YES! Maybe, I should start my own anti-prayer institute. This would have nothing to do with the new RTX 4090 coming out, I have no idea what you are talking about!

Next up, Remember high school? The endless classes, annoying pep rallies, and assemblies asking you what you are going to do with your life? Well a school in Louisiana decided to hide a religious service in the promise of a college and career fair. Now that seems bad enough, but what they did once the doors were closed was even more disturbing. This conversation gets a bit heated as August and Phil have a great back and forth.

Time to Step in the Right Direction with Cuba? In Cuba love rules as gay marriage is legal. Not just some court decision like in the US. It is codified law! Our panel congratulates Cuba on being so open and explores a little of their history in Pride. They are also allowing adoptions and expanded women’s rights! Now we are not saying you should escape to Cuba as a way to get personal freedoms, but this was a great step and hope to see more of it around the world!

Lastly, what happens when you mix faith with science? If you watch any shows on the Atheist Experience Network of shows you know there tends to be a lot of goal post moving. We see a little of that in our last article about the images that are coming back from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). Trying to find meaning and context with faith through beautiful images. Don’t get us wrong, the images coming from JWST are beautiful and amazing. The data we get back can push our understanding of our universe further than we thought possible. Don’t need a 2000 year old book for that!
