This episode of the podcast is a conversation around practitioner well-being with Owner of Career Blueprint, Josh Fletcher.
Josh has extensive experience within the S&C industry, working with the likes of Exos, English Institute of Sport & Hintsa Performance (F2).
However, through his years in the industry he has been through some tough times, experiencing intense burnout and as a result identifying many flaws around how the industry treats ambitious coaches.
He started his company Career Blueprint a couple of years ago to attempt to help practitioners to look after their own wellbeing, deal with conflict and find the right roles for them, thus streamlining their success in the industry.
We were lucky to catch him as he was fresh off the back of presenting on this topic at the UKSCA conference in Nottingham.
Josh was incredibly brave to share his own story over the course of this conversation, as he hopes to help others who may find themselves in a similar situation at the moment.
We had a conversation around how to identify symptoms of burnout or identify when one is at risk of becoming burned-out in the near future.
We also took some time to speak about setting yourself up for a successful career in the coaching industry, as well as preparing for job interviews and how to figure out if a role is the right role for you.
