Ep. 35 - Willard Mullin Book Editor Hal Bock

We truck on with the Bedford & Sullivan research process as the winter season grows thicker around us. Former Associate Press Writer Hal Bock had a long and illustrious career covering all and everything he could possibly cover in sports, whether that was World Series ballgames or Olympics overseas. When he was a kid, he would first turn to the sports pages in the daily paper, always looking forward to the latest Willard Mullin cartoon, the man who created the Brooklyn Bum, along with a slew of other memorable characters. Hal has put together a fantastic book called "Willard Mullin's Golden Age Of Baseball Drawings 1934-1972", collecting some of the most memorable basball cartoons from Willard's career. We'll discuss the book and Mullin's impact of sports journalism. We'll also discuss Hal's life growing up a Giants fan in the Bronx. So, join us at 6:30PM ET for the latest edition of the Bedford & Sullivan podcast!
