Why do we have so much contraversy around Breastfeeding? One of the reasons is the way women's bosies have been objectified and subjectified. Showing women's nipples in public has such shame attached to it - as Janet Jackson found out at the Super bowl when her nipple slipped out of her top. Women are covering their babies in a quest to cover themselves while breastfeeding in public - almost seems like a step backwards in liberating ourselves. Advocacy plays an important role in liberating us from taboos that no longer serve us.
