Photography in Aberystwyth: part 1

Whilst it's always rewarding having the opportunity to speak to the talented photographers we feature in our conversations, we also try and meet and socialise with other photographers - professional and enthusiasts - in local areas on our journeys around Wales.Aberystwyth and the wider Ceredigion area is rich in photographers, and we met up with two whilst attending the Philip Jones Griffiths exhibition launch at the National Library of Wales. We look forward to returning to the area and speaking with many more. Y mae'n braf cael y cyfle i siarad â ffotograffwyr talentog ar gyfer ein gwefan ac wrth deithio Cymru yr ydym yn cwrdd â ffotograffwyr o bob lliw a llun, proffesiynol ac amaturiaid talentog ac yr ydym yn manteisio ar y cyfle i siarad â nhw.Mae yna nifer o ffotograffwyr difyr a thalentog yng Ngheredigion ac yn agoriad swyddogol arddangosfa ryfeddol Phillip Jones Griffiths yn y Llyfrgell Genedlaethol fe wnaethom gwrdd â dau ffotograffydd o ardal Aberystwyth. Alan Hale

With a life-long interest in Wales' wild flora and plants, retired Botanist Alan Hale now spends much of his time examining both the wild and relaxed life of Aberystwyth and the surrounding area through photography.

A selection of Alan's work is currently on show in Aberystwyth's Gas Gallery until 5th September and you can find out more about Alan via his website www.alanhale.co.uk or follow him on Twitter @alanhalephoto
