The latest series focuses on qualitative longitudinal and mixed methods research and was recorded as part of the EU-funded YouthLife project. The podcast is produced by the National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM), a UK centre that delivers training and resources on research methods, supporting researchers in the social sciences and beyond.

Relationship between employment transitions and mental health among British men (NCRM) - Fiona Steele


The links between losing a job and and a person's mental health is of considerable interest not just to the individuals affected but to health professionals, researchers and policy makers. For researchers, there are interesting opportunities to use panel studies, where people are interviewed repeatedly over time, to look more closely at the links between the two.
