Shush! App Automatically Turns Your Ringer Back on After a Movie or Meeting!

http://geekslife.cachefly.net/GL/GL15.mp4 Are you the kind of person who turns your phone on silent and forgets to turn it back on? I’ve done it before. And now… there’s an app for that! How Much Quiet Do We Need? I asked you in the Geeks Life chatroom how often you turn your ringer off on your phone… say for a movie or a meeting… and forget to turn it back on. The response was an overwhelming “all the time!" Dave Peterson told me about this Android app that solves this whole problem, which is awesome! It’s not new, but I bet you don’t know about it! It is android only though… sorry iPhone users! It’s called Shush! When you turn your phone to silent mode, Shush pops up and asks you how long you want to leave it in silent mode. You can choose anywhere from 15 minutes to 12 hours. I like the slider circle that makes it easy, but you can also use the plus and minus symbols. It tells you how long it’s set to be off, and tells you what time it’ll be turned on. While the ringer is off, you’ll still get to see  your notifications in the Lock Screen. I love is that it doesn’t actually make a big deal of it coming back ON. When the timer runs out, it just silently turns your ringer back on without notifying you. I like that because it doesn’t make you think about it. The best apps are ones that do what they do without getting in your way. What apps do YOU love? Leave a comment - I’d love to hear about them… and hey maybe I’ll turn it into a show! Subscribe to Our New Podcast!
