in this episode Woz and Kyra go over a movie that was controversial at the time of it's release and today. Guess Who's Coming To Dinner was released in 1967 and dealt with interracial relationships. At the time of the movies release the country had just passed into law the ability for people to be in interracial relationships. This movie touches on the subject on how the parents of both people in the relationship might deal with change in culture and controversy surrounding such a relationship.
The movie won an Academy Award for Original Screen play and Katharine Hepburn won an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
The film stars Sidney Poitier as John Prentice, Spencer Tracy as Matt Drayton, Katharine Hepburn as Christina Drayton, Katherine Houghton as Joey Drayton, Isabel Sanford as Tillie, Beah Richards as Mrs. Prentice, Roy Glenn as Mr. Prentice and many more stars of that era.
Woz and Kyra will go over how the movie stands today, the many remakes of this classic film and how the problems faced by the couple sadly still go on in todays society.
