As usual, the guys don’t take the superficial approach, but instead examine the - often overlooked - root causes behind these behaviors so players, parents, & coaches can FIRST understand the source (vital) before attempting to address the issue in a meaningful, practical, and thoughtful way. This episode will specifically explore:
- The various forms that toxic behavior can take on
- Why players attempt to blame and exclude others
- Practical approaches for players, parents, and coaches to adopt
- Specific techniques players can use TODAY to nullify, neutralize, and ultimately end toxic teammate behavior directed at them
- Why it might even be a positive thing for your young athlete to encounter toxic teammates as early as possible
The guys even discuss whether bullying is a natural phenomenon (i.e. from tribal times) or whether it is more a product of our modern world of convenience and leisure time.
