Season 5 Episode 03 – Stuart Harbinson, former Permanent Representative of Hong Kong and the HK Special Administrative Region of China at the WTO, and former Chief of Staff to the DG of the WTO. Stuart had a distinguished career in public service in Hong Kong, serving from 1994 to 2002 and then joining the WTO as one of the OGs Chief of Staff to Director-General Dr. Supachai Panitchpakdi, and later became a became Senior Adviser to Director-General Pascal Lamy. He also chaired many bodies, including the General Council, TRIPS and Services Councils, and the Dispute Settlement Body. So he saw it all. We had an insightful conversation covering many years of the WTO history. He told some great anecdotes and reflections that will be of great value to those working in International Trade, those aspiring to work in International Trade, and even those with nothing to do with International Trade!
