Jason Gilliam-Alexander was High School Honorable Mention All-American in the sport of Basketball, earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and English from Stetson University, inducted into the Hatter Sports Hall of Fame and currently serves as CEO of both Mentoring Valuable Protégés, Inc. & JGA Protégé LLC. As a strong advocate of discipline, education and development, the Queens New York native uses sport as a tool to attract and better prepare youtah for the rigors of adulthood. His professional interest aim to innovate the learning, teaching and planning methodology for kids through Mentoring in five core areas: Leadership, Athletics, Academics, Career Development and Health & Wellness.
Affectionately known as The Protégé, this former Point Guard directs through a diverse programmatic curriculum: his original LAACHON Mentoring Program, multi-faceted Volunteering initiatives, Sports Skill Development, Creative Arts, Public Speaking, Special Needs, Workshops, Camps & Clinics, each engineered to push his company’s mission: To use sport as a catalyst to mentor youth in personal development, health & discipline. Jason has been honored by Dwyane Wade's Wade World Foundation for volunteer work through their Wades Word Heroes Initiative, Switchboard of Miami 2013 Volunteerism Winner, Pro-Pops Foundation 2013 Dedication Award and named Legacy Magazine 2013 South Florida's 40 under 40 Black Leaders of Today and Tomorrow.
