Bonus episode: International Women's Day

This week we are celebrating International Women’s Day right across Headspace, so I wanted to return to the podcast archives for an episode that I found particularly inspiring. There have been some incredible women on the podcast to date: marathon swimmer Diana Nyad, comedian Ruby Wax, Brainpickings founder Maria Popova, aspiring astronaut Kellie Gerardi, the list goes on. But I wanted to return to a conversation that profoundly impacted me in terms of understanding what it means to take risks. Natalie Wellington decided in her thirties to trade in her comfortable life and retrain as an airline pilot. As a woman, and at 32, this was a huge decision that took guts, determination, and a steadfastness that really resonated with our listeners. This is an episode that really made me question the risks I was prepared to take in my own life, so I hope you too are motivated by Natalie’s story. As always, you can get in touch with me at radio@headspace.com.
