#18 - Dr. Adrian Williams on Sleep


This month on Headspace we are talking about Time - how to save it, how to use it, what happens as it passes and we get older. We spend a third of our time on this planet sleeping, so you’d think that we’d be pretty good at it by now. That doesn’t quite seem to be the case though, and we certainly get a lot of questions about sleep and the lack thereof at Headspace- it’s a reason a lot of people turn to meditation and mindfulness. Getting the right amount of sleep can have a big impact on the rest of our lives, so we invited Dr Adrian Williams, Professor of Sleep Medicine at King’s College, London and one of the world's foremost experts on sleep, to answer some of our biggest questions- why do we sleep, how long should we sleep, how can we sleep better?
