Woman Abducted in Ontario | The Mysterious Disappearance of Elnaz Hajtamiri

This episode is about the abduction of Elnaz Hajtamiri, who was born and raised in Iran and moved to Canada in 2018. She was a kind-hearted individual who had started her own cake-making company and had no criminal record or connections to organized crime. In December 2021, she was attacked in the underground parking garage of her condo building by two individuals who struck her in the head with a frying pan, causing an injury that required approximately 40 stitches. She moved to a relative's home in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, after finding three tracking devices on her leased Lexus. She returned to the Greater Toronto Area to collect her car, cellphone, and computer, and shortly after her return, three men in police-issued gear showed up at the residence she was staying at and claimed to have a warrant for her arrest. The men overpowered the homeowner and abducted Elnaz, dragging her through the snow, screaming. Witnesses reported that the abductors were not dressed in actual police uniforms. On January 21, 2022, Elnaz's former boyfriend was arrested and charged with criminal harassment. The lawyer representing Elnaz's family has questioned whether York Regional Police did enough to protect her in the lead up to her abduction, and an investigation is underway. The police are searching for information regarding the two suspects involved in the abduction.
