Patricia Maye “Patsy” Favel, a member of Saskatchewan’s Kawacatoose First Nation, went missing from downtown Regina on September 30, 1984, at the age of 18. Favel had a baby boy, Cody Blue Favel, and struggled with drug addiction, often turning to the sex trade to support her habit. She was last seen getting into a smaller Japanese-made car that was either red or orange in color, driven by an Asian male. Despite several leads, no charges were ever laid in her case, and her disappearance remains the longest-recorded unsolved case of a missing female in Regina’s history. Favel’s family, including her mother Alice, searched tirelessly for her, and Alice took on the responsibility of raising Cody until he defected from the Native Syndicate gang and testified against his assailants in court. Patricia Favel's case is classified as a missing persons investigation, and those with information are urged to contact the Regina Police Service’s Cold Case Unit.
