Unexplained Death | The Mysterious Death of Catrina Mowrey

Catrina Mowrey, a young woman from Kansas living in Dallas in 1985, planned to drive back home to visit her sister Deborah, but never arrived. Two days later, her decomposing nude body was found in the trunk of her boyfriend's car parked in an alley, wrapped in a stained bedsheet. Initially ruled a suicide, her death was later classified as an unexplained death. Investigators found no signs of foul play in her apartment, and toxicology reports showed no drugs or alcohol in her system. Catrina's niece believes the case could be a homicide, but law enforcement failed to investigate, leaving her family without closure. The last person to see her alive was a man known as "PeeWee," who was never located or questioned. The case received little media attention, and it's widely believed that Catrina's involvement in the local drug scene led authorities to not take her death seriously.
