      We had an overview of the weekend's events on today's show. This weekend will see playwright John Paul Murphy return to the Galway Fringe Festival with his new play 'Turn Around Bright Eyes'.       The Friday Panel – 20/07/18

      The second hour of the show, as always, was time for The Friday Panel. This week's panel included retired businessman from Kilkee Manuel di Lucia, CEO of Blue Box Children's Charity Bernadette Kenny and MD Sherry Fitzgerald McMahon and current President of the Ennis Chamber of Commerce Diarmuid McMahon. They discussed Trump's meeting with Putin, the Irish national anthem, Amhrán Na bhFiann and how we should regulate content on Facebook. The panel also told us who they consider their hero.



      From Clare FCA To Balkan In Bosnia - The Life Of Colonel Colm Doyle

      We heard from Colonel Colm Doyle, an accomplished military man who has written a memoir. The book, 'Witness To War Crime: The memoirs of an Irish Peacekeeper in Bosnia', details Colm's experiences as an international peacekeeper and later, representative of British Politician Lord Carrington, in Bosnia in the time of the Balkan conflict. Colm also led a FCA battalion in Clare for a time. The book is published by Merrion Press.



      Parenting Advice - 19/07/18

      The second hour was time for our Parenting Advice segment with Dr. Toby Sachsenmaier. This week's focus was teaching kids about sex and relationships.



      Call For By-laws To Deal With Ennis Begging Problem

      Wednesday, June 11th's Morning Focus opened with a reoccurring issue for both the show and for Ennis, begging. Gavin was joined by Councillors Alan O’Callaghan and Mary Howard, two of three councillors calling for by-laws to deal with so called ‘professional beggars’.

      Fleadh Na Mumhan In Full Swing In Ennis

      Morning Focus' first hour ended with an overview of Fleadh na Mumhan with Michaeál Ó Riabhaigh, secretary for the Fleadh. It maybe Wednesday but there is still a host of workshops, performances and sessions to enjoy as well as Gig Rig and street entertainment. Josephine Marsh and Kieran Moroney also joined Gavin in studio.
