Good news for Tour de France Stage 10 2020 before it had even started, with all of the riders returning negative tests after the rest day protocol and being able to start the race. This stage had been circled by everyone as a potential crosswind stage but the forecasts proved right with very little wind and despite Ineos' best efforts, no real echelon action occurred. A bunch sprint predictably ensued with the results having big ramifications for the green jersey competition...

Tour de France Stage 16, straight out of the rest day, was set for a breakaway and maybe some intermediate sprint shenanigans if Bora felt up to it. A large and strong breakaway group formed and a real battle eventuated on the final major climb of the day, with one young rider running away victorious.
