Time once again to holiday shop! With the holidays upon us, this was my debut episode of one of several side projects. This is an episode full of websites and apps to help you get the best bang for your buck. (Note: some of these apps or websites mentioned might not exist in 2023, since this is from 2019. I'll do my best with these updated show notes.) Happy shopping! (Please don't buy me a tie again.) Also, the social links mentioned are now @sherpalution ...
Why a million dollars? Would you be listening if this was "The $4.36 Show"? Since it's a holiday week here on Podcastia, and all of our potential guests are stuffing their faces or stuck in the airport, I figured I'd cut them a break, and do a solo show...
Rebels, it's always fun to get to interview an artist who's been generating a lot of buzz. The only time I generate buzz is when I walk into a hornet's nest. Unintentionally. Well, usually. But, as the music you will get to hear on this episode will indicate, Dani is certainly a force to be reckoned with in the music world. It was interesting to learn how her synesthesia affects her love for music, as well...
True confession: I'm not allowed to look at any woman in a bikini without a signed permission slip. But, at least I can listen to Jaimie's podcast ("Strictly Stalking") or audition for a movie where she's the casting director (provided neither one of us is in a bikini. Fair is fair, you know...). But, as you can tell, she's a lady who certainly keeps herself busy with many ventures. And it was lots of fun to get to chat with her on these topics...
Something I didn't get to bring up in the interview... Jim was a competitive weightlifter, and you can see him clean and jerk, and snatch over 300 lbs(!) on his YouTube page. I'm lucky if I can snatch a jelly bean without blowing out a hamstring. But, I really think Jim is a natural for podcasting, even though the actual lifting is different...
First, I apologize for my staticky mic in the beginning. Was a curse, cast on me? Nah, just a hinky wire. But I digress. I honestly didn't know what to expect when i arranged the interview with Mela. But as a surprise, it was certainly pleasant. I love it when I get the chance to learn about interesting things like witchcraft ( No Sinatra song here, but hum along, if you must). Is it a scary interview? Well I think it's more interesting than scary, personally. But have a listen...
Happy Halloween, Rebels! (Or Happy Millard Fillmore day, if you're listening on another day.) "Odd Tonic" might be on a break, but as Jennifer told me, she loves a good ghost story, and the opportunity to tell one. Thus came the inspiration for "I Talk To Ghosts"...
It's not often I get to speak with a student of a coach that I've interviewed (in this case, previous guest David Thompson.). Here's an interesting interview with a true up-and comer in the acting world, as well as the......
So you want to talk impressions? Not to brag, but I have the best impression of our own Sherpa Chalet mailman, "Winky" Baristroikas. I will only do it on the show if I get enough requests on the Sherpalution social media pages. And when Winky's lawyers leave me alone. That's the impression that I get. Hey. look, I'm quoting the Mighty Mighty Bosstones! I don't do an impression of them, though...
Simple life lesson, Rebels: If someone says " I spent a lot of my childhood in cemeteries", you KNOW you're in for an interesting conversation! Such was the case when I got to meet Brandon. Although(, as of yet,) he hasn't had immediate contact with any ghost, spirit, monster, or Amway salesman, he's still got plenty of spooky stories for you on his podcast. (I still wonder if George Strait has any ghost stories, even though all his exes live in Texas...
