Volker Buzek and Peter Muessig interview contributors of the UI5 community at UI5con 2022: Jakob Kjaer, Nitish Metha, Marian Zeis and Marco Beier to share their experiences and some history. Every contribution makes a difference and even with small contributions the way how developers are working can be influenced significantly.

After two years in a purely virtual setup, UI5con changed to a hybrid format: We broadcast all sessions live online and also welcomed around 80 participants onsite. Christoph Haffner took this opportunity to talk with UI5 developers from different sectors during the event about their experiences, perspectives, and suggestions about UI5 and UI5con.

SAP integrated and developed several testing frameworks to test UI5 applications, libraries, controls or modules: QUnit for functional testing, OPA5 to do integration testing and UIveri5 for end-to-end testing. In 2020, wdi5 (pronounced as /vdiai5/) has been started by Volker Buzek at j&s-soft with the focus to test UI5 web apps in hybrid scenarios - the scenarios which aren’t supported by UIveri5...
