This science fiction thriller following a group of scientists looking for answers to humanity's biggest questions saw Ridley Scott return to the "Alien" franchise but Damon Lindelof's script moved the film to be less of a prequel and more of an original story. The film had moderate sucsess at the box office and with critics but has been lamented online for years.

The final film from legendary animator Don Bluth crashed and burned at the box office so completely the animation studio that released it closed down for good just ten days after it's release. Titan A.E. also received mixed reviews despite; it's all star cast including Matt Damon and Drew Barrymore, a creative plot, and unique villains.
