Saoirse Exton Set To Become Youngest Ever United Nations Advisor
On Friday's Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by Saoirse Exton who is set to represent Western Europe on the Youth Advisory Group and is a member of the C40 Cities Global Youth and Mayors' Forum. Saoirse described her immense pride when she recently found out that she was one of the seven young climate leaders who will form the next Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change. She discussed her role in the advisory group where she will be representing Western Europe and mentioned how and when she became very passionate about climate change. She highlighted her aim to have her voice heard on a number of topics from a young age and began to protest outside Limerick Council buildings every Friday. Saoirse also spoke about what she believes needs to be done to achieve climate justice.
