Economist Confident Increase In Corporation Tax For Extra Large Firms Wont Deter FDI In Clare

A Clare economist is confident multi-national companies will continue to locate in the county despite an incoming increase in corporation tax . From January 1st next year, international firms earning above €750m in profit here will now be liable for a corporate tax rate of 15% ,subject to an OECD agreement struck between Ireland and 130 other countries. 71 multinational companies are currently operating in Clare, providing over 6,900 jobs, with recent investments of scale in the Tech, Pharma, Financial & Aviation sectors.
