CEO Of Clare Chamber Expresses Disappointment On Policy Regarding Offshore Renewable Energy
On Tuesday's Morning Focus, Alan was joined live in studio by Margaret O'Brien who is the CEO of the Ennis Chamber of Commerce. Margaret expressed her disappointment regarding the Government's U-turn on policy in relation to offshore renewable energy. She believes that floating offshore energy development would be hugely important for jobs and the economy in the west of Ireland. She mentioned her dissatisfaction with the delay in plans and two investors already pulling out of the project. Margaret highlighted the success of the UK's offshore renewable energy plan and hopes Ireland will follow suit. Her main aim is to ensure the people of Clare understand the potential we have in offshore renewable energy in the county.
