Robert Carter is a visual artist, photographer, writer, and arts educator based in Philadelphia. His figurative work often features brown skin in a range of hues, set against vibrant colors and lush textures. Carter is known for his ability to capture the beauty and diversity of people, as well as his exploration of history, culture, and music in his artwork. He is a Black Arts Fellow with Mural Arts and has taught photography workshops at Fleisher Art Memorial.
