Bunratty Banquet 60th Anniversary Exhibition Officially Launched
On Friday's Morning Focus, Alan took a trip to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park for the launch of the Bunratty Banquet 60th Anniversary Exhibition. The late Dr Brendan O' Regan introduced the first medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle in April 1963. Alan spoke to Adrian O' Flynn who is the Marketing Manager of Shannon Heritage along with Tony O' Brien who is the Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council and Mayor of Clare. Collette Davis who is the musical director of Bunratty Castle and Brendan O' Regan's children also spoke to Alan. They described the sheer uniqueness of the banquet and highlighted the level of interest it brings to Bunratty Castle worldwide. They also complimented the musical performers associated with the Banquet and recalled fond memories of the Banquet from the past. The Bunratty Banquet Exhibition will run until November of this year.
