A warning has been issued that the delays facing Clare children seeking eye treatments could result in permanent poor vision. It comes as new data shows that 358 Clare children are currently on the waiting list for eye treatments in the county. In addition, 65% of Clare children between the ages of five and 17 have been waiting over a year for an appointment. FODO Ireland Chair Garvan Mulligan says when children's eyes are not assessed early on, sight issues are more likely.
