Clarecastle Councillor Confident Local Economies Will Clean Up With Coach Wash Services
A strategic analysis of sites near Clare's tourism hotspots will be carried out in a bid to provide specialist visitor services. At this month's meeting of the Local Authority, Fianna Fáíl Councillor, Tom O'Callaghan tabled a motion calling for the establishment of coach wash and toilet drop facilities. The amenities would allow day trippers and tour operators alike to avail of restrooms and vehicle cleaning while stopping off for extended periods in towns and villages. In response to the motion, Director of Tourism, Leonard Cleary said the council is conucting a feasibility study with a view to making investments. Clarecastle based Councillor , O'Callaghan believes the facilities will create a goldmine rural communities.
