About the Music













The Maple Blues Band is a world-class, ten-member group that includes some of Canada's most respected Blues musicians. Individually, band members have accumulated over 40 Maple Blues Awards, 90 Maple Blues Award nominations, 3 Juno Awards and numerous Juno nominations. Further, respective members have seen long-spanning careers in notable Canadian bands such as Downchild, Fathead, Matchedash Parish, and Skatalites. In addition to acting as the host band for the Maple Blues Awards since 1999, the group has also taken part in the Maple Blues Revue touring act with vocalists Chuck Jackson, Dawn Tyler Watson and John Mays. As The Maple Blues Revue, they released the album Live At Twisted Pines via Preservation Records. Along with their all-star lineup, the band has also shared the stage with countless special guests over the years, including Harry Manx, Dawn Tyler Watson, Colin James, Colin Linden, Shakura S`Aida, Duke Robillard, Jackie Richardson, Miss Emily, Big Dave McLean, Little Miss Higgins, Jim Byrnes, The Sojourners, Harrison Kennedy and many more. The Maple Blues Band's upcoming album, Let’s Go, was produced by Gary Kendall and engineered by Juno Award winner L. Stu. Young (Prince, Ann Murry, Guns & Roses, Downchild). Let's Go is a groove-packed collection of instrumentals set for release via Cordova Bay Records on January 27, 2023.
