Threshold says it is deeply concerned about the ongoing dominance of short-term lets in the Clare rental market. There are currently 335 properties in Clare available for short-term booking on AirBnb. Meanwhile, there are just 11 long-term rental properties in the county, according to housing website Daft.ie. Threshold CEO John Mark McCafferty believes the lack of choice in the rental market is contributing to "stress and strain" on renters.
