The Video:

---------------------

1. ECU Preview: Offense

starts at the top

Last year was The Year. This year is the Mason Garcia, except their coach is being cagey about it. Best lineman got poached by the portal late. Best receiver is a Georgia transfer who actually played some for UGA.

2. ECU Preview: Defense

starts at 15:06

Play a TCU style with five guys on the line, one LB in the middle, two wing safeties and three guys deep. One of the most zone-dependent teams last year and blitzed seldom. They do leave the second level open for you: hooks away. Led the AAC in tackles by safeties. Gonna try to jam the run game with small guys.

3. What We Learned About Minnesota & Nebraska

starts at 41:54

Oh dear, these are not good teams. Minnesota could not have wanted to rely so much on the Greek God rolling away from immediate pressure. We are fans of Daniel Jackson now because he bailed his QB out a few times, including the awesome TD at the end. Nebraska admits they Scott Frosted it; they're all Frost's players except GT transfer QB Jeff Sims, who tanked them with three atrocious INTs at the worst time. Did not know you could review a spot after a false start.

4. Seth & Alex Make Stupid Predictions

starts at 41:54

Brian makes us answer all the dumb questions he didn't have to, like how incompetently will will PFF rank Trevor Keegan.

About the Featured Musician

This year we are partnering with The Blind Pig for bumper music, since that's where I've seen most of the bands I've been pushing anyways.

Dad Caps (bandcamp, Spotify) was formed in the D.I.Y scene of Lansing. Apparently "Midwest Emo" is a different thing than "Other Places Emo" but if you're into Far (Seth was very into Far in college) you'll get it. Why do they have other kinds of Emo? Seems like Midwest Emo should just be what Emo is. Anyway Dad Caps consisting of local lip ring enthusiast Gaven on guitar and vocals, Lansing's sad sk8r boi Vic on bass and vocals, the hot guy Ben on guitar, Maverick on drums, and the legendary Lansing bassist Dane on keyboard and trumpet. They're playing tomorrow night at the Blind Pig with Who Is We .

  • Knucklehead
  • Death Kwon Dump
  • Fistfight in the TJ Maxx Parking Lot

Also because Across 110th Street will get our Youtubes taken down, the opener and outro:

  • “The Employee is Not Afraid”—Bear vs. Shark
  • “Ruska Vodka”—Motorboat
