After a pivotal encounter in Africa, he committed his life savings to establish the IAPF, focusing on training and supporting rangers across African wilderness. Notably, Mander's innovative approach led to the formation of the first all-female Ashakinga rangers in Zimbabwe, marking a significant advancement in wildlife conservation.
