episode 183: Mean Girls

Katie (not Cady) and Bridget write in their Burn Books as they re-watch the original: Mean Girls! It's a movie all about how high school is kind of like living in Africa, except in Africa there are no scary Aaron Samuels who imitate monkeys (that was not okay!). Come along as we meet Cady, a homeschool jungle freak who starts at a new school and quickly learns that there are a lot more rules here. When she gets adopted by the Plastics, a trio of popular girls run by the future CEO of Blackrock herself - Regina George, Cady must learn how to survive and how to get even via candygrams and crack! Will the girls all learn to stop attacking each other and instead start attacking the patriarchy? Does making out with a hot dog sound like something we've all done before (and will likely do again)!? Released in 2004, it stars Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, Lizzy Caplan, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Tim Meadows, and Daniel Franzese.
