episode 1357: The Lakers Lose in Houston. Despite LeBron's Return. Rock Bottom, or Merely a New Low?

LeBron James was back in the lineup. Russell Westbrook had his best game in weeks. Malik Monk, Austin Reaves, and DJ Augustin (!!!) all made big contributions. And yet the Lakers lost to a (now) 17-win Houston Rockets team because they turned the ball over, missed too many free throws, and couldn't play defense to save their lives.

Deja vu, all over again. And again, and again. So is this a new low? Is it actually, seriously-we-mean-it-this-time rock bottom? Does it even matter, anymore?

The Lakers are a really, really bad basketball team. They seem to have lost belief in the possibility of meeting their original goals, or to set replacement goals (beyond "get this over with as fast as possible") which is a major no-no for a professional sports team. So why have they lost belief? Is it reasonable? What about heart? What defines "heart" for a team like the Lakers? How/why are they falling short?

There are a lot of things to dislike about this group. Is "heart," or the lack thereof, one of the biggest?

HOSTS: Andy and Brian Kamenetzky

SEGMENT 1: The Lakers lose to the Rockets. For the same reasons they've lost to so many other bad teams. (Acknowledging they're a bad team themselves.)

SEGMENT 2: Have the Lakers stopped believing in any possibility of success? James Worthy- who is a fantastic hugger - believes so, which is a huge statement to make on the Lakers postgame show.

SEGMENT 3: What about heart? What defines it, and do the Lakers have any?
