The Lakers don't have any picks in Thursday's NBA Draft, but multiple reports suggest they're going to try and change that by buying their way into the second round. It's a place they've had success historically, most recently with Talen Horton-Tucker, and a cheap way for the team to get an infusion of young talent that, while perhaps less likely to help this season, could become valuable pieces down the road.
So how deep is this Draft? Can the Lakers find value in the second round? Why do players rise and fall? What are the secrets to knowing that kind of flaws will work themselves out at the pro level and which ones will be fatal (from a career standpoint)? How do teams effectively find gems at that point in the Draft?
