MacVoices #15060: Joe Kissell Takes Control of Dropbox, Security for Mac Users and More

To make his first appearance on MacVoices for 2015 something special, Joe Kissell talks about three different updated and new Take Control books, including the updated Take Control of Dropbox and Take Control of File Vault, as well as his latest, Take Control of Security for Mac Users. The latter is being released one chapter at a time for TidBITS members; Joe explains why the subject matter lends itself so well to this method of writing and publication, and gives us an overview of some of the topics covered. Some topics keep coming up over and over. Joe tells us what he gets the most inquiries about, why he’s taking a “threat level assessment” approach to security, and shares information on a Dropbox feature that you need to know about if you were relying on it for long-term storage.

This edition of MacVoices is sponsored by Smile, the makers of PDFpen 7  and PDFpenPro 7, PDFpen for iPad, PDFpen for iPhone,  PDFpen Scan+, as well as TextExpander for Mac, TextExpander touch and DiscLabel. Great software to help you get more done.
