We met entertainment producer David Charpentier backstage, as a tornado roared through Pridefest, the world’s largest LGBT music festival.

The rain had been falling for hours and people had to be moved into shelters as the storm passed through the Milwaukee fairgrounds. We were fearing for our lives. And yet, after the storm passed, an amazing music concert blossomed like sunshine through the clouds.

As entertainment producer for Pridefest, David can handle just about any intense, scary or emotional situation with any artist, no matter how extreme the circumstances.

Now he’s managing some of the biggest drag queens in entertainment while living with Addison’s disease and type one Diabetes. How does he do it?
