Episode 83: ZOMBIE PROM and DANCE OF THE DEAD
It's PROM SEASON, so this episode is dedicated to that time-honored rit du passage signalling the end of childhood, the last blast before adulthood and very possibly being eaten by zombies!
First up, it a special look at ZOMBIE PROM, a charming Off-Broadway musical from 1996. We're also very fortunate to have a chat with the show's composer, DANA P. ROWE. (He's a super sweet guy, but even he wasn't expecting the little bit of his horror movie history that I unearthed, because I'm a savant like that!)
Since I know at this point you're all itching for less singin' and dancing and more brain munchin', I'm covering an actual zombie prom with actual zombie carnage....DANCE OF THE DEAD (2008)! And to really give it that authentic feel, I invited my actual date from both my junior and senior proms to watch it with me: still kinda willowy after all these years - GEORGEANN STRAKOSCH
