Since then, every Star Trek series has tried to live up to the original series’ legacy of diversity, especially when it comes to sex and romance.

In the mid season finale on Star Trek: Discovery, Into the Forest I Go, we see a full on nude scene between Lieutenant Ash and Klingon warrior L’Rell. While everyone is mesmerized at seeing Klingon boobs for the first time, we have to ask ourselves, is this sex, rape, or a brutal medical process?
